ABOUT

Certain subjects recur in my work, landscapes of either close-up or distant features and the human body. Although the human figures are separate from my landscape work (people usually don't feature in the landscapes), however I see both areas of work as being a reflection on how I view the world and the desire to make sense of the world we inhabit. The figures and landscapes often have a transformative aspect to them that belies the idea of a fixed point and view in time. I am intrigued by the constantly changing aspect of my subjects, rather than a fixed moment in time. Printmaking in particular lends itself to experimentation in manipulating the images to achieve a transformed outcome.
